Odds and Data Sources

Last updated: 13 June 2026

This page explains the broad types of odds and sports data used by OddsTips.co.uk when preparing betting tips and prediction pages.

Odds Data

Odds displayed or considered on OddsTips.co.uk may be supplied through a bet365 odds feed or checked against available bookmaker markets. Odds can change at any time, so the price shown on our site may not match the price available when you visit the bookmaker.

Before placing a bet, always check the latest odds, market rules and terms directly with the bookmaker.

Football Data

For football predictions, we consume structured match and team data across more than 100 raw fields. Not every field is used in the same way, and not every match has complete data, but the main groups include:

  • country, league, teams, match date and game week;
  • home and away points per game before the match;
  • current and overall team performance indicators;
  • average goals, over/under goal rates and BTTS rates;
  • first-half and second-half goal patterns;
  • expected goals, including pre-match xG indicators;
  • corners, cards, shots, shots on target, offsides and possession where available;
  • home win, draw, away win, over/under, BTTS, double chance, draw no bet and corner odds markets.

Why We Do Not Publish Every Input

We want users to understand the type of analysis behind our tips, but we do not publish every raw feed, weighting or model rule. This protects the integrity of the process and avoids presenting a complex model as if it were a simple checklist.

The important point is that our football tips are informed by historical team performance, xG, form, goals trends, market prices and match context rather than one isolated statistic.

Data Limitations

Sports data can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Odds can move. Team news and injuries can change the strength of a selection after publication. We use available data to improve our analysis, but no data source can remove uncertainty from sport.
